Development Engineer - Aero-Vibro-Acoustic Group

* What is the opportunity?

To further sustain and accelerate its growth, NUMECA is looking for a Development Engineer Aeroacoustics to join the NUMECA International teams based in Brussels.  

 

* What will you do?

In this role, you will be part of the team dedicated to Aero and Vibro-Acoustic. In tight collaboration with your team, other development teams and product managers, your tasks will be:

  • Development of innovative computational methods for aero-vibro-acoustic within the NUMECA’s flow integrated environment

  • Development into a modern multi-physic platform for numerical simulations

  • Participation to international research projects

  • Answer the needs of customers among worldwide leaders in turbomachinery design and automotive industry

* What are we looking for from you?

  • A master degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics,  or PhD with specific experience in the development of computational methods

  • Experience in software development with focus on numerical methods for acoustics and aeroacoustics (finite elements, boundary elements, integral methods, stochastic methods, … )

  • Proven expertise in acoustics and aeroacoustics modelling

  • Good knowledge of C++

  • Knowledge of Python and Fortran is an asset

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms

  • Fluent English language is a prerequisite for the role

  • Dutch and French are a plus.

Applicants should be highly motivated and dynamic, have good analytical and communication skills, be a team player able to meet the highest quality standards in software development. Proven skills in engineering problem solving and written/oral communication are essential.
