Marine CFD Engineer

* What’s the opportunity?

To further sustain and accelerate its growth, NUMECA is looking for a Marine CFD  Engineer, to join the NUMECA International team based in Brussels.


* What will you do?

In this role, you will be part of a highly skilled and motivated team dedicated to CFD marine applications, sharing tasks for:

  • Projects realization

  • Scripts and plugins development

  • Validation and certification of new developments

  • Technical marketing material creation

  • 1st and/or 2nd level of customers support and training (according to experience)


* What’s great about joining this team?

You will be joining a team of about 5 engineers highly-skilled in marine numerical simulations. You will be able to work on a wide range of marine sectors such as offshore, passenger transport or sailing yacht among others. These include resistance, sea keeping, propulsion and manoeuvring simulations. The position is likely to involve some travels within Europe and the opportunity to have a direct contact with the user community.

* Who and what are we looking for from you?

  • A master degree in Fluid Mechanics is a prerequisite with master thesis or similar internship in CFD;

  • Prior experience with industrial CFD package is an asset, especially with FINE/Marine;

  • Scripting with Python is an asset;

  • Prior professional experience is not required but can be an asset;

  • Experience in simulation of advanced 3D flows is a key asset especially in the marine field.

  • English language is mandatory.

Applicants should be highly motivated and dynamic, have good analytical and communication skills,  be a team player able to meet the highest quality standards in software development. Proven skills in engineering problem solving and written/oral communication are essential.
