To further sustain and accelerate its growth, NUMECA is looking for a Mesh Generation Engineer, to join the NUMECA International team based in Brussels. NUMECA could also propose a research position, allowing the candidate to work towards a Phd in collaboration with a University.
In this role, you will be involved in the development and enhancement of a state-of-the art unstructured mesh generation tools, including advanced mesh generation algorithms, meshing utilities (graphical or not) and integration in the innovative interface of OMNIS™.
You will be expected to keep abreast of the latest trends and technology in the field of mesh generation and to bring innovative solutions to automatic mesh generation.
You will develop a strong interaction with support and customer team to have development answering to customer request. You will be in charge of the development of the graphical user interface of the developed solutions collaborating with our Products & Applications teams.
You will be exposed to a variety and challenging geometrical problem through a large range of applications: turbomachinery, aerospace, automotive, marine applications… You will have the possibility to work on the two main mesh generation process: surface to volume and volume to surface.
In mesh generation process, the challenges are various and you can make an impact not only on the next generation software we are developing, but also help engineers around the world to come up with better product solutions.
- Master's Degree in Engineering, physics or applied mathematics or PhD is a prerequisite
- Good knowledge of object oriented programming
- Good experience with C++ programming and software development
- In-depth knowledge of computational geometry and grid generation
- Prior experience in the development of unstructured meshing tools is an asset
- Good knowledge of OpenGL, GPU programming, multithreading and distributed parallel implementation is an asset
- 3 years of experience is a plus
- Fluent English language is a prerequisite for the role
- Dutch and French are a plus.
