Cenaero, leading Research Center for Aeronautics and NUMECA International have announced a strategic partnership to combine advanced optimization and data mining technologies, in NUMECA Design and Optimization Software Environment FINE™/Design3D. Cenaero is well known for its advanced simulation activities and in particular for its software tools Minamo that includes state-of-the-art automatic optimization methods for simulation-based optimization. NUMECA International is globally recognized for its leadership in market vertical and specific Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software and for its embedded deterministic & robust design optimization system FINE™/Design3D. By combining the best capabilities of both technologies, customers will have access to the most advanced integrated software environment for simulation-based design optimization, tremendously reducing the design/optimization cycle time and cost. Minamo is the design space exploration and optimization platform developed by Cenaero. It implements an online surrogate-assisted optimization framework. Smart adaptive search algorithms allow to efficiently handle high-dimensional design spaces as well as highly constrained optimization problems involving high-fidelity simulations. This surrogate-based paradigm, coupled to a dynamic steering of the search process, allows to rapidly explore the design space and to optimize products in order to make better and enlightened innovative decisions.
