New Release - FINE™/Acoustics version 8.1
FINE™/Acoustics version 8.1 is now available.
This release comes with a documentation included in the software package, available in our customer area on www.numeca.com.
The new version focuses on the user-friendliness and robustness, in particular for turbomachinery applications.
New wizard to predict tonal and broadband noise for turbomachinery applications
The Turbomachinery wizard allows to automatically set up, run and post-process the aero-acoustic analysis of tonal and broadband noise for turbomachinery configurations (axial, radial or mixed-flow).
The main advantages for the users are:

Fast, reliable and detailed acoustics results
Reduction of the design cycling cost
The new wizard allows to predict tonal and broadband noise from a FINE™/Turbo or FINE™/Open CFD solution.

Extensive validation campaign
Along with the new Turbomachinery Broadband and Tonal Noise Wizard, we have run a series of validation cases on academic and industrial configurations, among which:

- Simple axial fan case from Concepts NREC database
- Centrifugal vacuum cleaner compressor
- IMAGE research project “aero-engine” axial fan
- Blower for air conditioning systems

New Python commands
Additional functions have been added to the Python API to extend the scripting and automatization of your workflows.
