Software Engineer in High Order Method

Main Responsibilities:

The main objective is to improve the predictive capabilities of current aerodynamic based High Order Methods (HOM) for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

  • Development of high-order methods beyond the state-of-the-art

  • Numerical analysis of advanced algorithms for high-order methods on unstructured grids

  • Participation in collaborative projects (PRACE, INCITE, EU-H2020)

To be able to assume this role, the minimum qualifications are:

  • Master degree in engineering, aeronautics, applied mathematics or physics, or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent computational skills and interest in CFD programming and fluid modelling;
  • Good knowledge of C++ / Fortran development;
  • Fluent English language.

The additional qualifications are:

  • Familiarity with (discontinuous) finite elements and turbulence modelling

  • Familiarity with aspects of High-Performance-Computing (HPC)

  • Familiarity with aspects of GPU programming

You should be highly motivated and dynamic, have good communication and analytical skills, be a stress-resistant problem solver, be a team player able to meet the highest quality standards, and ideally have a passion for programming.
